Took Michael’s summer grafting class at Kito and it exceeded every expectation. The guy has done thousands of grafts and it shows; he checked every single cut before letting anyone move on, no shortcuts, no ego. He was refreshingly honest too, even sharing a batch he’d recently lost, which taught us more than a polished demo ever could. Left with trees I grafted myself and the actual skills to do it again at home. If you’re into Japanese maples at all, take this class. Michael and Kito are the real deal.

We had an excellent class on grafting Japanese Maples taught by Michael! We grafted 13 trees from scions we collected from his garden and purchased 20 more cultivars from his sales yard. I highly recommend shopping here and also taking a grafting class! We traveled from Paris TN for this class!

I’ve purchased many a maple from Kito gardens and will probably buy more in the future. They are always very healthy and the family who runs the company is awesome. So glad to have this nursery in our area!
